This is nutty, intense free jazz from Chicago... and it is truly not for lightweights. Free, frantic and passionate, with alto and tenor saxes, bass clarinet and psychotic percussion screeching and squawking, assaulting the aerdrums throughout. The effect that has is truly mind-numbing. These six tracks absolutely never let up, crashing and exploding all over each other. When it's all over and the last screaming notes have fizzled away, I can picture the studio where it was recorded... trashed, the musicians all lying on the floor, smoking cigarettes and laughing their asses off about the lovely racket that they've just documented.
